If you have two high school football teams square off, and one of those teams has easy access to great weight lifting and video training technology, so every one of their players can practice like the pros, while the other team has to rely on ordinary football practice alone, then obviously that’s a loaded situation in favor of the first team.

Oh sure, the second team might get “lucky” and have one or two players just so special that they can overcome the big deficit.

But if you like to bet the trend, which I have learned to do as I head towards my thirties, instead of trying to always buck the trend, then you realize the first team is a smarter bet.

In the same way, there really are a lot of guys who already had most of the relationship puzzle solved, and all they might have needed were a few fresh ideas and a shot of confidence to find the girl of their dreams.

After all, it only takes one girl to change your life forever...

But the trend, and this is based on thousands of emails that I have fielded, and other communications we’ve gotten from guys out there in the real world, is that the endless articles, books, and interviews out there on relationship and pick-up advice just aren’t enough.

It’s a lot like that football team that only gets to practice football, but never gets to lift weights or cash in on video training. Is this kind of video training really that important?

Yes!

In fact, that’s today’s main lesson...

It’s easy to have success in relationships, so long as you have the proper preparation.

How do you think NFL football players get so good that they command sometimes ten million dollars or more in salary and bonuses season after season?

But the funny thing is that the top NFL players spend more of their practice time watching video than doing anything else, including practicing on the field and lifting weights!

Most coaches insist that their top players spend the vast majority of their time reviewing video of themselves and their opponents.

(So NFL owners are basically paying their players hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars a year to watch video of themselves and of other players! And the more a payer is played, the more he is expected to watch video.)

And the coaches themselves spend many hours more than their players studying video of their players and other teams players.

Why? Because of course you can’t just read an article or book or listen to an interview and learn to play the game!

So much of what is going on in any sport is very much like with relationships, which is one reason some folks call pick-up “game.”

But even though practically everybody in the world, not just athletes in every major sport, know that you can’t compete at the top level in their sport without intensive film study of themselves and of others, then they can’t possibly succeed nearly as much as they would have otherwise.

A lot of people ask me how guys like me got so good at pick-up.

And then a lot of people ask our students who have succeeded how they got so good so fast.

Is it because we’re smarter or better looking, have better material, or are we in better shape?

Maybe we are, but that’s not why we succeeded so quickly ;-)

The reason we succeeded, so quickly, and I’ll explain how we know this, is that we cut our learning curve in half by leveraging in field video training.
We filmed and watched in field video of ourselves and of Mystery and the rest of our friends…

…And then we studied and reviewed and poured over that material for hours.

Then we went out and did it all over again.

But that’s well and good for us.

After all between all of the folks who have worked on Project Infield including Mike Long, Mystery, myself and many others, invested tens of thousands of dollars (Not to mention a $5 million dollar TV show budget, but that’s another story.)

What were all of the costs for?

It’s actually surprisingly difficult to learn how to film in field hidden camera cold approach video. And we have tens of thousands invested in video equipment alone.

But over the course of the last 3 years, we’ve mastered it.

The idea with project infield was to create advanced relationship training that would actually bring our students the same unfair advantage that we enjoy.

Of course we had to begin project infield by mastering the process of filming hidden camera in field cold approach video. We took 2006 through 2010 took our time to catalog a vault including hours of in field cold approach video with Mystery, me and several other PUA’s.

Then, starting with our Miami Vice boot camp back in February, we began to take students in field…
